Sentence structure and word "your"

The family would appreciate your sending
Joyce a Birthday Card

On October 29th  we will surprise her with birthday cards from all her friends!

Please include a “remember when” sentence or two.
Your card will make her birthday very special

Question:  Is the first sentence above written correctly?  It's the word "your" I am questioning.

Do you have another idea on how to restructure the sentence with the same idea?

'Your' is correct here, as 'sending' functions as a noun so requires a possessive. Of course this usage is changing and 'you' would be acceptable.
