can we separate phrasal verbs when there is adverb at the end?

Some phrasal verbs can be split and others cannot.

 

It would help if you had an example of the phrasal verb you are trying to use because it can be either.

 

For example:

 

I am absolutely fed up with your behaviour! (correct)

 

I am fed absolutely up. . .(incorrect)

 

She ran up to him. (correct)

 

She ran directly up to him. (also correct)
