Please help - "suggest"
I was wondering if you could help me. I have always seen the word "suggest+Ving", but several days ago I noticed this word without gerung. "What actions do you suggest to solve the communication problems?". Could you give me some information about using "suggest" with infinitive?
Suggest have three possible structures: 1. Suggest (that) + [someone] + [do something] • I [suggested (that) John and Julie go on holiday. 2. suggest + [-ing word] • He suggested checking various English institutes before joining. 3. suggest + [something] + [to someone] • He suggested Nokia mobile to me.

"Suggest" is a regular English verb and can easily be conjugated as such.
I suggest We suggest
You suggest You suggest
She/ He suggests They suggest
Add -ed for the past tense (i.e. suggested).
One synonym of "suggest" is recommend. You could ask a friend: Which movie do you suggest we go see this weekend?
I hope this is helpful.
