the usage of verb ing
Is this sentence correct?
Sara is walking and looking at the boy.
I'm in perfect agreement with Lewis. In addition, when you use the conjunction 'and' with a compound predicate the rule is to keep the before 'and' form of the verb the same as the after 'and' form. However, for stylistic variation when using a base form, present simple or past simple for the first verb in a compound predicate, you may change the second verb to a present participle. For instance: He ran into the room and shouted - past simple + past simple. Or: He ran into the room shouting - past simple + present participle.
