I like reading - I like read


Are both sentences right???

'I like reading.' is correct. 'Reading' is a gerund and a noun, but 'read' would not be a noun in this case. There are circumstances where 'read' could be a noun.

What's your read on the political situation.

That book is a good read.

In addition, you can say "I like to read."
