What is the difference between diffidence and englightened self doubt?
A wise friend once taught me that feelings are not the same as facts. Being diffident is lacking confidence in one's abilities or worth. A person can feel that but actually be quite capable. Being enlightened indicates that the person has some actual basis (fact) to support the feeling. There is a reason to have self-doubt.
