Grammaticaly speaking,we say I was born and grown up in xxxx or I was born and grew up in xxxx

The correct answer is I was born and grew up in XXX.  Was born is a passive verb (your mother gave birth to you), but grow up is an active verb -- you did that all or mostly by yourself, naturally. If the emphasis is on your mother and father's parenting, then you could say I was born and raised in XXX.  In that case, both bear and raise are used in the passive tense.
