When we need " 's " after two consequent names, do we use one for each of them?
Example: The use of sumbols in Shakespear's and Donne's poetry (or Shakespear and Donne's poetry) is significant.
Most American English style manuals -- at least those published by the Unversity of Chicago (CMoS), the Modern Langauge Association (MLA), and the American Psychological Association (APA) -- recommend using the apostrophre s ('s) only after the last name in such cases.
Shakespeare and Donne's poetry
I hope this helps.
