Please help me out.
I'm trying to write a fanfiction and i was wondering if this sentence was correct? and if anyone had ideas to help me change it up a bit.
Finishing up the game that I was playing, I put it in my pocket, and then got my phone to text Justin to see where he is when an unfamiliar car pulled up in my driveway.
It is a run-on sentence. Break it up into two or three sentences. "It" in this sentence refers to the game you were playing. Did you put the game in your pocket? Your sentence is written in the past tense, so "is" should be "was".. Also, please note that the word "I" is always capitalized. Always. There are no exceptions.
