question marks inside or outside of quotations?
affect vs effect
Most of the time a question mark will go inside the quotation marks. British usage allows them outside of the quotes more often than American English. The context and structure of the sentence will determine where it is placed.
Affect is a verb, and effect is a noun but will occasionally serve as a verb.
