word choice

Can we use fellow schoolmates? Is it wrong to use fellow and mates together? Is it redundant? Should we use fellow students instead?

I agree with Sanjay. It's redundant.

Depending on the context, I would use either classmates or fellow students. Schoolmates sounds like it should be for younger children. As we get older, we start using phrases such as "the class of 2013" and we have classmates.
