Why I have to change the passive voice use

See example:

Passive voice is grammatically correct, but active voice is usually preferred. In this sentence, passive voice is fine to use, however. If the battery is supplying power to more than one robot, robots' is the correct possessive. If one battery is used for one robot, you should use robot's, the singular possessive.

One 6v Ni-MH battery is used to provide power supply to all the robot's parts.

In active voice, the sentence could be written:

The robot uses a one 6v Ni-MH battery to supply power to all of its parts.
