Speech part of first, second, etc

"I am fifth in rank."

"Fifth" is a predicative adjective like I am "happy" or it is a pronoun and "the" and " a noun" are omitted like "the fifth one"? What do you experts think? Thank you so much in advance.

In your sentence, fifth is an adjective.

In the sentence I am the fifth one, fifth would also be an adjective.

In I am the fifth, fifth would be a noun.

I hope this helps.
