You need to change 'can' to 'could' to agree with 'were'. Replace the semicolon with a comma and delete 'because' and the comma after 'our'. 'Actually' isn't needed; remove it and end the sentence with 'working'. The final comma should be before 'and'.
While my husband and I were taking care of the baby as often as we could, our daughter was working. We had the baby every day, and it was a good feeling.
