a question about adjectives
why we say Rose flower or red car but planet earth and not earth planet

Both 'planet' and 'Earth' (capitalized because it's a proper noun in this use) are nouns. Earth (or Mars, Mercury, etc.) defines which planet. It is the same as saying 'my brother John'.

I can't think of an instance where I would say "Rose flower". Rose is not a proper noun, so it would not be capitalized. If I mention a rose, I don't need to also say that it is a flower.
