In India, most ESL speakers believe to be good at  their communicative skills.  But the fact is quite contrary to what they think. As English is a second language for us,  we are bound to make mistakes both in written and spoken mode.  As English is an acquired language for most users in India, we find many variants of English due to the influence of one's regional language, without realizing to be so. Mistakes are mandatory for one’s improvement of the language. We  make mistakes because we try to translate each word and phrases from our native language.

Hey Sanjay,

Here are my comments:

most ESL speakers believe to be good at  their communicative skills. But the fact is quite contrary to what they think.:  this section could be much more concise: Most ESL speakers overestimate their communicative skills.

written and spoken mode: written and spoken English

we find many variants of English due to the influence one's regional language, without realizing to be so: that initial we is confusing because it seems to relate back to most users; you need the preposition of after influence; the final prepositional phrase is unclear: because a learner's mother tongue always interferes with his or her ability in ESL, there are as many varieties of English as there are native languages in India, and ESL speakers are often unaware of such variations.

mandatory for one’s improvement of the language: when corrected and explained, necessary in order to improve

We make mistakes because we try to translate each word and phrases from our native languageMany mistakes are made on account of directly translating from the learner's mother tongue.
