Ethical issues with a walking program.

I’m not sure what an ethical mechanism is.  Are you talking about a set of procedures or policies that will kick into action when there is an ethical issue?  I don’t know if I would use the word mechanism, because it sounds too automatic for something as subjective as ethics.  Even for industries that have a code of ethics, there is usually a lot of grey area depending on one’s interpretation. 

Does the mechanism actually resolve the issues?  Again, that just doesn’t sound right when you are talking about ethics.  Any resolution surrounding ethics is rarely cut & dried enough to be as automatic as a mechanism might resolve it.  It isn’t like getting fired because you were tardy too many times.  

Maybe my questions will help you find a better way to express what you mean.
