This is a long and wordy sentence. I suggest the following changes:
SUBJECT NEEDED provides a similar view regarding the significance of epistemological evidence. He defines epistemology as that which we regard as knowledge and that which is the evidence of regarding it as knowledge. Furthermore, he believes that the evidence is crucial to the creation of knowledge because without it knowledge would be only beliefs, and knowledge cannot be built on belief alone.
