proper placement of the adverb "already"
Is it ever correct or permissible to end a sentence with already? For example: My friend found a job already.

You will get different answers on this. Some say no, and some say yes. 'Already' is an adverb, and placing it close to the word (verb, adjective, or other adverb) it modifies in the sentence is usually the best choice.
My friend already found a job.
