How do I make the following sentence not passive?

Activ voice is 'not passive', by the way. Passive voice is correct grammer, but active voice is preferred. This sentence read fine in passive. Here is one way to write it in active voice. As long as the sentence is, it could be broken into two by ending the first after equal. If not, you need a comma after 'equal'.
However, the distribution of diagnostic technology is not geographically equal, and within the current healthcare model, a trained medical professional is necessary to recognize symptoms or interpret analyses.
