transitive or intransitive verbs
The goat fell into the well
Hmm, what is your question? In the sentence The goat fell into the well, the verb fell is intransitive because it is followed by the preposition into. The preposition into is transitive because it takes the object the well.
In any event, I hope the goat is okay. :)
