"the Thesis" vs "the thesis"

I was wondering whether the word "thesis" in a scientific dissertation or thesis should be written with a capital letter in the beginning.

 

For example, we should say:

"In the Thesis, we propose a new method that ... ",

or 

"In the thesis, we propose a new method that ... ",

or 

"In Thesis, we propose a new method that ... ".

I would leave it lower case and keep 'the'. 'Thesis' is not a proper noun here.

 

In the thesis, we propose a new method that...
