When Life Changes
The purpose is to help individuals feel comfortable in the clinical trial, they are assisting in.
How can I change this statement?
See example:
The purpose is to help individuals feel comfortable in the clinical trial, they are assisting in.

If the individuals are subjects of the trial, I would use 'participating' rather than 'assisting'. The comma after trial is incorrect, and you should avoid ending a sentence with a preposition. I changed 'in the clinical...' to 'with the clinical...'.
The purpose is to help individuals feel comfortable with the clinical trial in which they are participating.
This may work even better.
The purpose is to help individuals feel comfortable participating in the clinical trial.
