Ian and I stayed in touch, texting or calling everyday for two weeks He picked me up for our first date, it was on Valentines Day.

I would write, "Ian and I stayed in touch, texting or calling every day. He picked me up for our first date; it was on Valentine's Day."*note that everyday should be two words (because it's an adverb here), you need to break the sentences up, use a semi-colon instead of a comma (to avoid a comma splice), and include an apostrophe in Valentines Day.

I would write the following:

 

Ian and I stayed in touch, texting or calling every day. He picked me up for our first date; it was on Valentine's Day.
